Legal Documentation & Waste Reports

We provide all necessary legal documentation, including consignment notes, to ensure the transport and disposal of your hazardous waste is fully compliant with all UK and EU legislation, guaranteeing a fully auditable and legally sound chain of custody. Every month you will receive a report for the previous month’s waste collection, which lists weight and an onward disposal route code.

Types Of Waste We Manage

At our waste transfer station in Tockwith we have experienced and qualified chemists that can accurately classify waste streams, develop safe handling procedures, and identify the most advanced recycling and recovery pathways. Here are some of the types of specialist hazardous waste that we can manage

Aerosol Waste

We accept full, empty and part-full aerosols such as spray paint. No expanding foam, butane or other. Aerosols are 100% recycled.

Battery Disposal & Recycling

At Leading Solvents we can recycle all of your used batteries such as nickel metal hydride, zinc carbon, silver oxide and lead acid batteries. We are unable to accept lithium or alkali metals at our waste transfer facility in Yorkshire.

Contaminated Packaging

Various contaminated packaging is accepted at our hazardous waste transfer facility in Tockwith such as solvent contaminated rags, plastics, filters and cups.

Contaminated Drums

All contaminated drums must contain less than 1% of standard solvents and paints in order to be recycled at our waste transfer station.

Contaminated PPE

We accept many types of contaminated PPE at our hazardous waste transfer station such as used spill kits, rags, wipes etc. this excludes reactive or caustic contaminated PPE.

Contaminated Rags & Absorbent Wipes

We can safely sort contaminated rags & wipes at our waste transfer facility in Tockwith. We cannot accept reactive and caustic soaked materials.

Flammable Liquids & Solids

We can accept isocyanates, such as paint hardeners and all TFS solids. Also, solvent liquids via cemfuel (secondary liquid fuel).

Fluorescents Tubes, Lamps & LEDs

We have the facilities to accept all sizes and variations of fluorescent tubes and lamps including LEDs at our hazardous waste transfer station in Yorkshire.

Ink & Ink Contaminated Waste

We can accept your ink and ink contaminated waste such as standard Cemfuel or TFS if solids at our hazardous waste transfer station.

Packaged Waste

At Leading solvents hazardous waste transfer station we can accept various types of packaged waste, such as tins, 205l drums and 1000L IBCs.

Oil & Oil Contaminated Waste

Bulk oil & rags contaminated with oil and solids can be accepted at our waste transfer station in Tockwith as part of our hazardous waste package.

Oil Filters

We can accept various types of oil filters at our waste transfer station including metal, paper and plastic.

Secondary Liquid Fuel

We can accept secondary liquid fuels such as inks and oils at our waste transfer station.

Out of Date Chemicals

We accept chemicals at our waste transfer facility that have passed their expiry date such as lab reagents, fertilisers and pesticides. We cannot accept oxidisers.

Paint & Paint Tins

We can accept paint and used paint tins at our hazardous waste transfer station. Only solvents, resins and inks with less than 1 % remaining in the container.

Solvents & Resins

We can safely transport styrene, standard solvents and epoxies to our waste transfer station to be sorted.

Water Based Ink & Paint

We can collect water based, adhesives, PVA, general paints and solvents to be sorted at our hazardous waste transfer facility.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

At Leading Solvents, we can recycle a wide variety of electrical waste such as monitors, microwaves & fridges, circuit boards and motors.
